À l'est, vers Santa Pola del Este, Playa Varadero demande une marche d'une vingtaine de minutes depuis le port — mais on y gagne une atmosphère plus tranquille. Pente douce, vue dégagée sur Tabarca, un air de carte postale quand la lumière tombe en fin de journée. Chaque juillet, c'est ici que se termine la traversée à la nage Tabarca–Santa Pola, une petite touche d'histoire locale pour qui aime suivre ou encourager les nageurs. À choisir pour la vue sur l'île et une ambiance plus posée que le centre.
